Hey all! I’m Savannah, the woman behind all the chunky braids and textured updos.
My hair career began in the San Francisco Bay Area at the age of 18, attending independent study for high school so I could go to beauty school full-time. I just couldn’t stay away from doing hair.
Growing up I never felt comfortable in my own skin. I hated my hair and knew nothing about the importance of products or that they even existed. I would always think “there has to be a better way” and I was determined to find a solution. In 2013 I received my license in Cosmetology and joined a tight-knit, high-end salon in Pleasanton and continued to grow my career & love for hair. My mission today is to teach women how to fall in love with their hair. NO MORE BAD HAIR DAYS.

In 2015 I worked my first wedding. I'll never forget the overwhelming amount of joy (and exhaustion) I felt; waking up at 5am to drive 3 hours down the coast. To some, it sounds like a nightmare. But for me, it was an honor to be behind the scenes making women feel beautiful on one of the most special days of their lives. Still to this day, i’m just as excited with each wedding I get to be apart of.
My bridal career has taken me up & down the coast of California and across the country. Like I said before, I just can’t stay away from hair.
I decided to separate my bridal business from my hair business (@hairlabsav) when I was offered the opportunity to work as a hairstylist in the 2021 New York Bridal Fashion Week. Hairlabsav.bridal was launched in the fall of 2019.
